My Summer Adventure

Well, I didn't do so well with the blog the first time around. What can I say? It was a busy semester. Now, with my friends scattering to the wind, perhaps its time for a second shot.

Tomorrow is the beginning of my summer adventure in Boston! I'll be living the Big Law experience (at least as close as you get as a summer associate) and trying out my niche field to see if it suits. I plan to be intentionally vague on the work details - those of you who know me know them anyway - and it doesn't seem all that smart to write about them in such a public forum. Not quite as silly as jumping in the Hudson, but I have no intention of doing that either!

What you will get is amusing stories from my life, reviews of my travels, and occasionally a deep thought to ponder. Of course, you'll also get updates on my devotion to the best team in baseball, the Red Sox!

Unfortunately, the next 24 hours or so don't promise too much entertainment. I'm currently battling my printer to make it properly print my dear friend's wedding shower invitations. I also have some cleaning and last minute packing to do. Oh, and the bane of my existence, my paper/note/article that promises to make me famous if I ever focus long enough to write it :) That's looming as well.

All in all though, I'm SO excited to be off to a new city and have time with my family and good college friends. If I'm lucky, I'll make some new friends, too!

I promise future posts will be more interesting (on average), but I just felt like I needed to get started!

And, I'm back. My three weeks with the family were pretty nice, but its good to be back in my own cozy little apartment. I've discovered that a mid-vacation roadtrip is the trick to maintaining sanity. Yay roadtrips!

So, I'm settling back in and getting ready for the semester. I'm also having fun with all of my holiday purchases! I figure picking up my books for the semester is enough school work for my first day back. (Should I be worried that my Corportations textbook is from 1995? )

Now I'm on to more exciting activities - planning a bridal shower (not mine, clearly), writing a song for the Libel Show (more on that later), playing with Google Pack and distracting myself from anything important that actually needs to get done. Suggestions for entertaining myself are more than welcome!

Welcome to my little corner of the universe. I've always found starting things to be the hardest part. All those high expectations. So, I'm just going to call this started.

The purpose of this blog won't be to reveal my deepest darkest secrets (sorry to disappoint) or to start a new political revolution, but simply to let my friends know what I'm up to, even during those times when I seem to have fallen off the face of the earth.
